It's snowing! This is big news where I live!
All through November and December, I had every intention of posting all the cards from my annual Christmas Card Workshop and of course, life had other plans! But things seem to have calmed down just a smidge (don't want to jinx it!) and I am back in the craft room. This challenge from the Colour My Heart Colour Dare Blog came across my Facebook feed and given that we are having our first snow of the season it feels like a great day to share 3 of the cards from the Christmas Card Workshop.
It is really had to see in the photo but I finally got to use the Christmas Lights embossing folder from a few years ago! I have tried using the folder sooo many times and it just never "fit" but on this card it did! I used the Oh What Fun paper collection and the super fun sentiment is from the Cricut Season of Joy Collection. The skirt is from the Cricut Artist Collection. Also hard to see in this photograph is that I sponge distressed the edges of my base with Raspberry ink and I also lightly rubbed the sponge on the embossed pattern to give it more detail. A few bitty sparkles and sequins from my stash and my card is complete.
The design for this card is from the Make It From Your Heart Vol.2, Pattern 28. The Merry and Bright sentiment is from the Cricut Season of Joy Collection and the cardstocks are Pixie, Mint, and Pomegranate! For a bit of added detail, I used the Bashful Shimmer Brush on some of the background papers to give a little more pop!
The design for this card is from Make It From Your Heart Vol. 4, Pattern 9 and the sentiment is from October's special called "Love With All the Trimmings". It is an awesome stamp set and I will be using it again next year! The stitching is from the Stitch Borders stamp set and the pink gems are very retired and from my stash! I used Saffron as my accent colour on this card and it is honestly the first time I have used it! With the Oh What Fun papers it really looks like old gold and was a perfect complement to this card.
As mentioned earlier I am submitting these 3 cards to Colour Date #324 - TicTacToe with Colour Palette of "Oh What Fun" and I hope I have met the criteria of the TicTacToe, the only exception might be Saffron but I think this can pop into the "Neutrals" option if they are feeling generous!
