We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!
If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Michelle at My Creations with Michelle. If you came from Michelle of The Right Hughes then you are in the right place!
I printed these photos of my son a very long time ago and finally! found the inspiration to scrap them. I can honestly say I love these photos, it was way back in 2010 when my son first got his glasses and was literally re-discovering the world.
The tree paper from the (so thankfully masculine!) Jack Paper Collection was a perfect choice for this layout and I used Sweet Leaf cardstock as my base to pull out the bright green on my son's boots and the background of the photos. I went a little old school and decided to heavily sand the cardstock giving it a much loved distressed look.
Initially, I was going to use the Jack Compliments but switch to the My Boy Complements (which I just found out are sold out and now retired!) as I found the Kraft/Black accents really brought this project together. I then added a small Kraft cardstock mat to all my pictures to add more dimension and cohesion.

ReplyDeleteThis layout belongs in a magazine! Seriously, you should submit it. Wonderful photos, design and choice of embellishments. The sewing is a labour of love, but so worth it.
