Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge # 207

For this week's sketch from AHSC,  I was trying to go "outside the box" again and I am mostly happy with the results.  The Artfully Sent Cricut Collection (retired) has lots of cards that have cutout sections and I thought to try that with this card but ended up cutting the cutout section out and mounting it on Sorbet cardstock which I heavily sanded to bring out the white core of the paper.  I then decided to mount all of that onto a Kraft Paper card base.  Following the sketch, my card than needed flowers and a sentiment...

The flowers are from the new Cricut Flower Market Collection and I used Sorbet, Canary, Glacier, Sea Glass, and New England Ivy Cardstocks cut out at 2 and 2.5 to create these clusters.  The Happy Easter sentiment is from March's SOTM and I stamped it onto one of the pattern papers from Hello Lovely.  To add a bit of sparkle and draw attention to the cutouts that are in the Hello Lovely Floral paper, I painted the leaves with the Clear Shimmer Brush and the flowers with the Gold Shimmer Brush.  I then added a simple bow using the White & Gold Twine.

A bit of a busy card but I think the Great Grandmother that I made it for will love it. Thank you for stopping by, I truly appreciate your comments and I hope I have inspired you to come play along with us at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

And because this card is so "SPRING" I am also going to submit it to the Heart 2 Heart Challenge - April Showers.

Happy Easter and Happy Crafting!
