Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #144

This week AHSC had given us a classic sketch! And feeling the retro vibe, I decided to use a few much loved but less seen techniques on my card. Technique #1, Sanding. I love exposing the white core in CTMH's cardstock and giving my projects just that little bit more dimension. On this card, I sanded the flowers and the embossed dots on my piece of sweet leaf cardstock. I also sanded the edges of the sweet leaf piece and then inked it. Technique #2, Inking the edges. I swiped my Slate ink pad around the edges of my floral paper and sweet leaf card stock to not only frame them but to draw the eye in and give continuity between the two pieces. Technique #3, Stamping directly onto the final piece. What if I mess up? It is this worry that keeps so many people from stamping directly onto their work. But you just have to keep reminding yourself; 1. I can get another piece of paper, 2. a "mess up" is not necessarily a mistake, and 3. if I don't try how wi
