So I am dealing with a very first world problem right now... I have a scrap booking workshop happening on Friday I can't cut the paper! I just have so many ideas and have seen so many wonderful layouts done with the paper we are going to use that I cannot make any decisions! I am quickly running out of time and honestly need someone to come over and kick my crafty butt into gear!
While I have been procrastinating with the layouts I did make some cards. But this weeks challenge from Atlantic Hearts proved to be well, a challenge! Typically I follow the sketch pretty close but this week it kinda took on a life of it's own...
I love the end result and I got to play with Close To My Hearts newest Cricut Cartridge, Artfully Sent! Not only can you make dozens of interactive cards but it has all these super fun layers like my black chevron heart that can be used in so many ways including Picture My Life.
The paper used to cut out the black chevron heart is from the Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment. These papers are really neat in that they have the same pattern on both sides but one side is in a glossy resist pattern and the other side is in a white/colour combination. These assortments come in a variety of colours and patterns and do add that little something extra to a project.
For this card I also got to use paper from the Heartstrings Paper Packet and January's Stamp of the Month, This Moment. The colours I used for stamping are Pixie, Cotton Candy, Cranberry, Crystal Blue and Lagoon. Some fussy cutting and a few of the super cute enamel red hearts and my true love get a Valentine this year.
Thank you for stopping by and I truly appreciate your comments. Follow the link to check out all the great artwork submitted to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I hope you get inspired and decide to come play along. We would love to see what you create and you might get voted as one of the top 3 cards of the week.
