If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this
is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start
at the beginning and join Michelle at My Creations with Michelle. If you
came from Kirstin of Crafty in the Country then you are in the right place!
Like many Close To My Heart Independent Consultants I prepare for Christmas by holding workshops helping others prepare for Christmas! If you are a regular reader of my blog you would have seen many of the cards that were made for my big Christmas Card Workshops and in a few weeks several of my crafty friends are going to be joining me for some Christmas inspired scrapbooking pages. I really like the layout featured in the White Pine Scrapbooking Workshop on the Go and recreated it with a few changes most notably is the paper, I used the white pine trees instead of the busier Christmas trees. I also stamped several acorns in chocolate ink and added them to the layout for extra contrast in the embellishments, highlighting them with clear sparkles. I also added several bitty sparkles to the Christmas tree for some extra bling.

For my second layout I pulled out my trusty Make It from Your Heart Volume 1 choosing pattern 4 on page 12 to be my inspiration with a helpful cutting guide. The biggest challenge I have when creating pages like these is that I do not have the photo's taken yet and leaving blank spaces can be really hard. I had to keep reminding myself not to over embellish and fill in the blank spots as I am going to be adding photo's!
Layout #2, Products used. White Pines Paper, Kraft Paper which I embossed with the Bark embossing folder, Glacier cardstock, White Pines Compliments for Momma and Baby Deer, snowflakes, trees and gifts, Gold Bling Gems, Green Shimmer Trim, Gold Foil Tape and I decided to use Gold Twine from the Twinery (because I have a whole bunch of it and I really like how it looks on these Pages). Merry Christmas is from Cricut Artbooking Collection cut out on Kraft paper and the saying across the Glacier boxes is from the zip strip from the top of the paper.
I am the last stop on your trip across Canada but if you are still completing your trip you are now headed all the way over to Halifax to visit with Michelle of My Creations with Michelle.
Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to
inspire you to get creative using some of the designs, products and techniques
seen along the way. We hope you will join us again next month when we will be
feature Where we create. So mark December 15th on your calendars and hop
along with us.
Happy Crafting!
I am not a scrapbooker but I really like the layouts you created.
