Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #102
Hello my crafty friends! Thank you to everyone who entered our celebration contest for sketch #100. The winners were announced last week and in case you missed it here is the list...
If your name was selected, please send an email to stewart.78@hotmail.com with Blog Candy winner in the subject along with your mailing address so that we can send you your prize!
For this card I used my Cricut Art Philosophy to make my pretty flower and its stem. I used the scallop border punch directly on my card base and then used the zip strip from the top of the paper for the pattern contrast down the right side.

I have a very busy week ahead of me and made up this super quick card using this weeks sketch from AHSC and the Blossom Cardmaking Workshop on the Go. The workshop comes with directions to make 15 cards (5 each of 3 designs) but of course there is lots of room (and supplies) for your own ideas and interpretation. For several upcoming workshops I am doing just that!
The Happy Birthday is from the exclusive stamp set that comes with the Blossom WOTG and I stamped it in Sunset. I also inked the edges of my card base, the kraft paper and patterned papers with sunset.
I really wanted to add a bow to this card and used the Extra Thick Glacier Twine that came with the Blossom WOTG. To do something "a little bit different" I knotted the ends of my twine and adhered it to my card instead of tucking the ends. I then tied the bow around the adhered piece.
Thank you for stopping by, I truly appreciate your comments. Please follow the link to check out all the great artwork submitted to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I hope you get inspired and decide to come play along. We would love to see what you create and you might get voted as one of the top 3 cards of the week.
Happy Crafting!
