Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #96

We are having a beautiful early Spring here in BC, granted the nights are cold and we have super heavy fog in the mornings but the days are gorgeous.  The clouds will probably roll back in in a few days and we will have our typical winter deluge until April but we are so super happy while we've got it! This weeks sketch from AHSC is so CLASSIC!  Love the simplicity that gives you a ton of ideas.  I decided to followed the sketch closely this week and deployed the Cricut to make this quick easy card.  Products I used for this card are: - Seaside Paper Packet which is so lovely and already has that distressed look to it.  I did sand distress the edges to bring out the white core and further the shabby chic look of the paper. - Glacier cardstock which I also distress by sanding with the strongest grit on my sanding block .  I sanded it in a cross hatch pattern to really bring out the white core. - Creme Brulee cardstock (retired CTMH colour) which I also sanded, - Doo

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #94

Two big Birthdays this last week!  My little man turned 7 and his Grampy turned 65. We have been busy partying it up! With birthdays on my mind and one of Malcolm's buddies also having a birthday party over the weekend I made this super cute card for his friend. I love the sketches from AHSC and how they get me started, as you know some weeks I follow the design very closely and other weeks my card takes a bit of a left turn. I love how this card turned out.  It is just so fun and perfect for a 7 year old boy. Product I used for this card are: - Confetti Wishes Paper Packet - Love Ya Silly (B1470) Stamp Set - Doodled Designs (A1170) Stamp Set - Aqua Dots - Flamingo Dots - Red Enamel Hearts - Bitty Sparkle - Gypsy and Sunset Ink Thank you for stopping by and I truly appreciate your comments.
