Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #80!

Keep my child home today because he had a mild fever and a cough.  About half way thru the day I wondered what I was thinking!  He drove me nuts all day.  I am a firm believer that if your kid had a fever keep them home but he really wasn't that sick.  The fever seems to have broken and hopefully I get back to my regularly scheduled programing tomorrow!

Super cute sketch from Atlantic Hearts this week and I wanted to create using November's Stamp of the Month "It's the Little Things".  Building flowers is just so much fun and strangely therapeutic.  My goal with this card was also to play with some of the new ink colours because they are just so pretty.
So I may have gotten a little over zealous with my layered flowers compared to the sketch but I like it!  The colours I used for the flowers were Thistle, Pixie, Gypsy and Canary. And I used Pear for the leaves.  The very cute polka dot patterned paper is from the Confetti Wishes Paper Packet and so is the Happy Birthday which I fussy cut out.  I finished my card off by swiping the edges with Pacifica ink and added some bitty sparkles and Flamingo Dots

Thank you for stopping by and I truly appreciate your comments.  Follow the link to check out all the great artwork submitted to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I hope you get inspired and decide to come play along.  We would love to see what you create and you might get voted as one of the top 3 cards of the week.

Happy Crafting!

  1. What a gorgeous, bright card! I have had sick kids too, who were still full of energy in between vomiting episodes!

  2. I love this card, super fun and bright!

  3. Love that set with these colors! Great card! Didn't think of those papers with it but now I am!!

  4. Looks like we both had fun creating with this month's SOTM. Love what you did with this sketch.
