New Product Blog Hop!

The shiny new Annual Idea Book was released to the world on August 1st and to say that us paper crafting types were excited is definitely an understatement!

Many of your Close To My Heart Independent Consultants have been very hard at work creating some amazing projects with all the wonderful new products.  My biggest problem lately has been I have too many new goodies to play with and I don't know where to start! I know, not a terrible problem to have.

Today I woke up feeling awful, my son and I have been battling a nasty virus for a few days and having a fever during a Port Alberni summer heat wave is zero fun. Thankfully my craft room is in the basement where it is nice and cool so we have literally been hiding out down here like a couple of sick vampires being cranky.  But out of the cranky I decided to get creative and today played with the Scaredy Cat Paper Packet and complements.
I have made similar versions of this layout before so the base design is quickly put together. I like this layout with it's big 8 x6 picture mat, in the past I have used one large photo and I have also collage several smaller photos in this space.

The hardest part of this layout was choosing which complements to use.  They are all so fun but really, truly one should not use ALL of them on a 2 page layout....! The stickers are printed on Kraft paper so they are nice and thick and I used foam tape to pop up a bunch of the pieces to give even more dimension.  I did edge all the base pieces of paper with black ink but decided not to ink the complements.

The "spooky" and "cat" are cut metal and I used some of the waste sticker paper to back the design.   For the letters I did trim them down closer to their individual designs to make it fit better on my title section.  I then added a few of the resin stars to the layout and I am done.
Thank you for stopping by and I truly appricate all your comments.  I hope you enjoy the blog hop and are able to have a look at all the fabulous artwork that has been created to inspire you!

Happy Crafting!
