Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #66

BUT... For the month of August I have have decided to "attack my stash"! Compared to a few of my crafty friends, I know that my horde stash is miniscule but to me it is out of control and I am going to do something about it. I have a "use it or loose it" policy for most things in our house, as I am not a big fan of clutter and I am going to make this apply to the many crafty items that are squirreled away in my craft room. For many of my crafty friends this will be a good thing as I will be having a retired product sale at some point in the fall so that I can get it out of my closet and into yours!(devilish laugh)

With this in mind I literally reached into that closet and grabbed a paper packet from the "retired" paper shelf and came out with "Lucky". This paper packet is at least 3 year old and still wonderful! Part of the theme in this packet was bicycles so I then looked at the Evernote app on my phone which has a list of all my stamp sets and after a quick tag search for "bicycles"... the first one on the list was, "It's Your Day". This was a special celebration stamp set created last year (I think) and it was only available for one month. I found this process of just picking the first thing kind of liberating and a whole lot of fun!
Now onto this weeks lovely sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I created this quick card but I did sneak in a "brand new to Close To My Heart product" that is in the new Idea Book. Can you spot it?
For those who have a copy of the new Idea Book on page 182... yup, I got
to use the new Chevron Border Punch! Can you spot it yet?? To add a little more fun to the punched strip of paper I punched out a border on sunset cardstock and used the "waste" pieces to fill in a few of the holes in the border. Oh the possibilities...
Other product that I used on this card are: sunset and colonial white Cardstock, sunset, olive and outdoor denim Ink and my Cricut Artiste for a few of the shapes. The sparkles are from a blue/green assortment that are now retired but I recently found out we can colour Clear Sparkles with our new Alcohol Markers! More info to come on that bit of information once I have had a chance to play.

Oh! One last thing.... I remember to do inside the card! Again! Nothing super fancy but I remembered to do it. Feeling kinda proud of myself.
Happy Crafting!
