Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Michelle at My Creations with Michelle. If you came from Nancy Klein's Blog then you are in the right place!

On pages 54 & 55 of the Autumn/Winter 2013 Idea Book are the 4 paper packets that were carried forward from the Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book, they are Chantilly, For Always, Surf's Up and Tommy.  While I always LOVE getting the new Idea Books and seeing all the wonderful new product we will get play with I always feel a little sad that other product will be retiring.  Apart of me always wants to say "Why do you have to go...?" Silly but true!   For this blog I was going to showcase a new project using one of these paper packets but have decided to repost my very favorite projects from 2013 using these papers instead.

For Always. Such a versatile collection of papers and I used Lagoon for the bow and accent shadow on the Mr. & Mrs.  I found that all of our Exclusive 40 Colour Palette worked beautifully with these papers.  The Cricut Art Philosophy and Artiste Collections made this project quick and easy!

Chantilly!  So pretty!  So glad I have a stash of these papers as I have several future projects in mind.  I just need to find the time to do them!

Have I mentioned before that I love the My Creations Bracket Frames??  I am very happy that this frame has been carried forward to 2014 and I am super excited to try out the new My Creations Pennant Frame.

Once again the Circut Art Philosophy and Artiste Collections made this project come together quickly.  For this Frame I used Slate Washi Tape, buttons and  Grey Velvet Rub-ons to add a ton of subtle accents to a very beautiful, bright paper.  Love how my little man just pops out!

This card was one of the very first that I made for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge that started up in April of 2013.  Sketch #2 to be exact.  I so enjoy being apart of the AHSC design team and look forward to each weeks design.  This card uses just a bit from the Tommy papers as well as Outdoor Denim Chevron Ribbon and Cranberry Twine.  The stamp set is VERY, very retired and was called Ticket For All Season's.

Like many I often struggle with layering elements and have found my style to be very CAS (aka Clean and Simple). I really liked how this card turned out, to me it's still very clean and simple but also has lots of layers and draws the eye.

Surf's Up is a truly fun paper collection that I really haven't had a chance to play with much yet.  This card is also an Atlantic Hearts Sketch and I was playing with the pigment inks and clear embossing power.  I love how vibrant our pigment inks are and how they really pop when you emboss with them.

I am the very last "stop" on this hop across Canada but if you are still completing the circle your next stop is back at the beginning in Nova Scotia with Michelle of  My Creations with Michelle.

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to get creative using some of the designs, products and techniques seen along the way. Join us again in February when we will be featuring some of our favourite products. We hope you will join us again on February15th, 2014.

Happy Crafting!
