Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #40!

  Can you believe we have been at this for 40 weeks already??? So fun!  I so enjoy seeing everyone's take on the sketches from week to week.  I am hopefully going to have a bit more time to get back to doing the challenges weekly.  Life is just busy sometimes, does it not know that I have creating to do? Now for this weeks sketch from AHSC ! I love to make flowers and right away I knew I wanted to make a layered flower with inked edges.  I have made a ton of these types of flowers in the past but have only shown them on a few projects here.  For this card I used a piece of the crazy patterned paper from Laughing Lola , Sparkle Flourishes , Gypsy Ink and the sentiment is from the 4 My Friend (D1510) Stamp Set.  This type of flower is super simple to make, using my Cricut Art Philosophy I cut out the flower shape in a variety of sizes, I then take a sponge and ink the edges in whatever colour I want.  The secret to making these flowers really pop is not only the la

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #38

Welcome to January!  It is going by quickly which for me is a good thing because most years January seems to last for about 8 weeks!  Let's have a look at this weeks challenge from AHSC !  As always Michelle and Darla have given us a great sketch that leaves lots of room for interpretation.   I had wanted to start making more scrapbooking pages for the these challenges but (sigh) not this week!  I went with a card and decide to use the totally boy ProPlayer Paper Packet .  I made all my embellishments using the Tech Speak stamp set and this one uses the Cricut Artiste Collection for some of the shapes.  Other product I used on this card are Pacific, Ruby and Slate Ink and my micro-tip scissors to fussy cut out the "hand and game controller".   Thank you for stopping by and I truly appreciate your comments!  Follow the link to check out all the great artwork submitted to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge !
