No boy?
Today I needed a "male" card and after pawing thru my stash of pre-mades I came to the (horrifying) conclusion that I didn't have any, not even one that could be quickly altered to be a little more manly! I don't know why but I seem to have a hard time making cards that are a little more neutral or just plain male. Perhaps it is because girly stuff is just so much more... more buttons, more frill, more ribbon, more glitter!
So I think my challenge to myself over the next few weeks is to make "boy" cards because I have several birthdays coming up and they are all male!
A quick card I made today with this challenge in mind...
For this card I used the Victory Paper Packet which includes the Outdoor Denim and Barn Red card stock and a colour ready canvas button. I did think about inking the button but the natural canvas colour really popped and added that finishing touch I was looking for. I heavily sanded all the papers to give it a more rugged worn look and I put foam tape under the outside corners of all the pattered paper to add a bit of dimension.
If you have been thinking about getting Victory don't delay as it retires on January 31st!
