Super Star!

I have been itching to use the new Super Hero papers but was waiting for the right pictures!  With some papers I find it easy to create without having specific photos picked out but with this packet I needed the right pictures to inspire!

With this layout I wanted to highlight our "Super Star" and used both chipboard Stars and ones cut out using my new Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge! I also used a few of the new Comic Badge Buttons.  I didn't use any of the Superhero Rub-ons with these pages but they are so fun and will try them out soon.

I love this paper packet the comics are retro 1940's style and the Cranberry, Sky, Moonstruck and Sunkiss Yellow really pop out against the Black and White Daisy. I'm thinking I might have to take some Daddy and Boy Wonder photo's soon...

catching up

I have been working really hard the past few weeks to catch up and get some of my layouts finished... I have the  habit of creating a layout but not quite finishing it which usually means printing off the pictures and doing the journaling.  I guess there are worse habits to have!

Here are a few that I finished recently.

All of these papers have now been officially retired from the Close To My Heart Idea Book but can be found on "Studio J".  What is Studio J you ask?

"Studio J® is free online scrapbooking design software brought to you by Close To My Heart. Studio J helps you easily create two-page layouts using our foundational scrapbook patterns, exclusive color palette, and themed designs all delivered in 12" × 12" custom prints ready for your albums. "

I have played around with the Studio J software and it is a ton of fun!  I know a few people that do almost all of their scrap booking this way.  If interested, follow this link www.paperdragonfleur.ctmh.com to my website and you will find it on the drop-down menu under "Products".  Have fun!

Wish the photo's of this layout came out better.  The colours are so vibrant in real life!  I need to work on my photography skills...  Brighter light perhaps.

My Crafty Blog

My papercrafting hobby became a little bit more for me last week when I decided (finally) to become an Independent Consultant for Close To My Heart.  I am very excited for this new opportunity and can't wait to see where it takes me.

My current favorite layout!
